Islazul is a commercial, leisure and service space in the new Carabanchel PAU of Madrid, an area in the middle of great economic and social development, as well as home to about 40,000 residents. The shopping centre has the largest gross leasable area in the city of Madrid (90.000 m2) and the fourth largest in the entire region. Islazul is home to 180 commerical and entertainment establishments and has 4,100 parking spaces. Its area of influence will expand beyond Carabanchel Ensanche, where it is located, to other nearby districts of the city, and zones which lie just outside the city of Madrid. Islazul stimulates the urban development of the southwest of the capital and will favour the expansion and improvement of the urban infrastructures in Carabanchel.
