Change the image of YouTube in the media through the implementation of a PR campaign to respond in a positive way to the accusations from the TV network.
Under the direction of YouTube's PR Manager, FJ Communications developed and implemented a crisis PR Plan to counteract a possible negative response from the media. For nearly a year, and in a very proactive way, we carried out various different comms initiatives including interviews, press breakfasts, an ambassadors' program, columns, op-eds, and press releases in both Tier 1 and Tier 2 media. All emphasized the positive side of YouTube, especially its state-of-the art technology tools to protect both copyright and the privacy rights of its users.
